32 Lessons In 32 Years

Thirty-two lessons I have learned so far in my life.

I have been on this planet for thirty-two years now, which is approximately 384 months — 1670 weeks —11,688 days — 280,512 hours — 16,830,720 minutes and about 1,009,843,200 seconds (I couldn’t even attempt to read aloud that number). And in all of this time I have been alive, I may have learned a thing or two. I hope I still have so much life ahead of me, but in honouring this milestone, I thought I would use it as a checkpoint, to list a few (thirty-two to be exact) things I have learned during my time here on this magical floating rock, in the middle of space, that circles a ball of fire, next to a moon that moves the sea. Deep breath, here we go!

1. It Takes Courage To Love

Love is the ultimate goal for every human being in this life. To love and to be loved, that’s the goal, right? But to do that, to allow someone to love you, the real you, it takes a lot of courage.
